What’s a digital marketing roadmap?It's what the marketing team (or marketing program manager) uses to coordinate efforts across marketing channels. A digital marketing roadmap is an effective document that can help you plan and track marketing tasks, for an overview of what is completed, what’s missing and who’s in charge; simply put, it allows you to make informed decisions.Also, you can use a digital marketing roadmap coupled with other roadmaps (like a marketing strategy roadmap for example) to take into account operations and strategy.&nbsp;In this digital marketing roadmap, I’ve grouped tasks into 5 swimlanes: ‘social media’, ‘content marketing’, ‘paid and organic search’, ‘email marketing’ and ‘programming (i.e. analytics). I’ve Color-coded initiatives so I can show goals like ‘new traffic’, ‘lead nurture’, or ‘acquisition’ for example.My digital marketing roadmap is spread across 6 months or so, with milestones showcasing important dates: SEM audit, drip campaign overview and general marketing review. You can change the display to months or quarters if it helps you track progress better.
